Hospital Universitario de Getafe has its own facilities for the management and performance of research. The Animal Platform, Biobank, Histology Platform, Clinical Platform, and Cellular and Molecular Biology Platform all form part of the infrastructure of Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Getafe.
Research at Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Getafe (Getafe Health Care Research Institute) is structured around 5 areas that cover various conditions, systems, and organs, including frailty and aging, disease (infectious, inflammatory, and chronic), and technology applied to health care.
