Next  December 13th, Madrid ADVANTAGE Joint Action Forum Will take place in the Ministerio de Sanidad, Consumo y Bienestar Social
The objective of the event will be to discuss the report “Strategy for the prevention of fragility” with the representation of Health of the Member States participating in ADVANTAGE JA and the interest groups. It is about defining how those responsible for health policies can take on the recommendations of ADVANTAGE JA and the role of civil society in the prevention of fragility in the EU. All this also taking into account the different European political, social and professional contexts that favor its implementation.
In addition, will be announced all the activities of the campaign “Plántale cara a la fragilidad!” in order to sensitize public opinion, health managers, elderly people, caregivers, health professionals, researchers … of importance and need to act on this topic.

The EU and the 22 Member States that participate, co-finance through the Public Health Program 2014-2020 Joint Action Joint Action (JA) – ADVANTAGE JA for the prevention of frailty. For three years, the 33 member institutions will establish a common European framework to address the problem of frailty, the main risk factor associated with disability in older people. ADVANTAGE JA is coordinated by Spain, specifically by the University Hospital of Getafe of the Madrid Health Service.
